Actress Kate Henshaw debunks rumor, reveals that AGN has been of help to Mr. Ibu

Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has debunked the rumor being circulated in the media that the Actors Guild of Nigeria(AGN) neglected Mr. Ibu. She stated that the association didn't neglect their colleague who was in urgent need of medical attention to prevent his legs from being amputated.
As the Director of communication for AGN, actress Kate Henshaw categorically stated that AGN has been of help to Mr. Ibu in the past. She said that there are bank records and phone conversations to support her claim and clear the association from the narrative that is being sold to the public.
She sympathized with Mr Ibu's wife and knew she spoke out of pain. However, she said Mr. Ibu's wife shouldn't have lied to the public that the association neglected her husband. Actress Kate further stated that she wouldn't want anyone to destroy the integrity she struggled to build and urged people to stop believing what Mr. Ibu's wife had said. Mr Ibu's health has been deteriorating for the past two years and both AGN and private individuals have donated money to clear his medical bills.
She said there's a limit to the help AGN can render because it is not a charity organization nor a hospital that has the adequate funds to meet such cases. In the end, she appreciated members of the public who have donated money to Mr.Ibu since the news of his health challenge hit the internet and implored people to stop spreading fake news about the association.

Mr. Ibu whose real name is John Okafor is a veteran Nollywood actor. He is well-known and loved for his roles in movies. A few days back, he solicited funds on social media after his family could no longer meet up with the piling medical bills. He cried that one of his legs was about to be amputated and he would be rendered useless if such happened to him. He implored the public to donate money so he could walk again.
