The Ethiopian Orthodox church has canceled Nigerian singer Rema's concert on the grounds that he is a devil worshiper.

This was made public by an Ethiopian woman who was recently interviewed by popular OAP Daddy Freeze.
The singer was supposed to perform at Sheraton Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Saturday 9th of September but the management canceled the event due to religious sentiments.
This decision was triggered by the burning church and a cross turned upside down which was designed on Rema's necklace.
The singer's necklace is a representation of his album cover "Raves and Roses".
Ethiopia, being a country that holds a very high standard when it comes to religious beliefs and practices, decided to express their displeasure over the singer's persona.
According to the church, it signified devil worship and a Satanic ritual or meant that the singer was part of a cult group.
This isn't the first time the 22-year old singer has been scrutinized by the public about this particular imagery.
However, he gave a vivid explanation of what the images symbolize in an interview a few months ago.
