Erik Ten Hag is the professional football manager of the Premiere League club, Manchester United. He was formerly a Dutch football player and played Centre-back before he retired. Erik was born on the 2nd of February 1970 in the Netherlands. He is currently 53 years old. Before he became Man Utd manager, Erik had managed four football clubs namely Go Ahead Eagles, Bayern Munich II, Utrecht, and Ajax between 2012 and 2022.
During his active years as a footballer, Erik Ten Hag played primarily as a center-back for Twente, De Graafschap, RKC Waalwijk, and Utrecht. He won the KNVB cup in the 2000-2001 season while playing for Trente and retired after the 2001-2002 Eredivisie season at the age of 32. He was appointed the manager of the Manchester United FC on the 21st of April, 2022 and the contract would last until June 2025 but with an option of extending.

His latest news is his transfer to Manchester United from Ajax which was announced on April 21, 2022. He took over as manager of the football club at the end of that season. Erik is the second Dutchman to manage the club after Louis van Gaal and the fifth permanent manager since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013. It was reported that Manchester United paid Ajax £1.7million to release Ten Hag from his contract.
