Dangote Cement Set to Launch Côte d’Ivoire Grinding Plant Q3 2025!

Dangote Cement Plc is gearing up to commission its 3Mta grinding plant in Côte d’Ivoire before the end of Q3 2025. This major step will boost its pan-African presence and support its growing export operations across West Africa.

What This Means:
• The 3Mta (million metric tonnes per annum) plant will strengthen regional supply, reduce dependency on imports, and reinforce Dangote’s goal of self-sufficiency in cement production.
• It’s part of the group’s strategy to consolidate its dominance across the continent and expand its export footprint.

Export Growth Highlights:

️ “Export volumes from Nigeria increased by 18.2%,” says CEO Arvind Pathak,
“with 18 successful clinker shipments to Ghana and Cameroon already.”

This points to a surge in cross-border trade and regional integration, both key elements of Dangote Cement’s long-term strategy.

Cleaner Logistics, Bigger Vision:
• 1,600 new CNG-powered trucks are being deployed in phases
• These will cut logistics costs and enhance environmental efficiency, showing Dangote’s commitment to sustainability

Strong Financials (Q2 2025):
• Group EBITDA up 41.8% to ₦944.9 billion
• Group profit surged 174.1% — a clear sign of disciplined execution and strong cost management

️ Africa’s Cement Giant:

Dangote Cement now operates with 52.0Mta capacity across Africa:
• Nigeria: 35.25Mta (Obajana: 16.25Mta | Ibese: 12Mta | Gboko: 4Mta | Okpella: 3Mta)
• Cameroon: 1.5Mta clinker grinding
• Congo: 1.5Mta
• Ghana: 2.0Mta clinker grinding & import
• Ethiopia: 2.5Mta
• Senegal: 1.5Mta
• Sierra Leone: 0.5Mta import
• South Africa: 2.8Mta
• Tanzania: 3.0Mta
• Zambia: 1.5Mta

The Bigger Picture:

With fully integrated operations from quarry to customer and a bold export agenda, Dangote Cement is not just building structures — it’s building economies across Africa. The upcoming Côte d’Ivoire plant is another strategic milestone in this mission.
